I hope this crisp fall season has been a blessing for you! I wanted to share something exciting that you may have missed if you only follow along through email or substack. Or for that matter you may have missed it because social media algorithms are quite unpredictable and you don’t always see important things from people you follow. This is why I love email! So anyway, the big announcement…..

I started a youtube channel to encourage Christian women and homemakers!

I’m so excited to have finally launched the Abiding Home youtube channel! This has been a long time dream of mine to start doing video content. I’ve been writing and sharing on blogs and on social media for years, but there is something that a long form video captures which conveys a much fuller picture! In many ways, it brings the ideals shared on instagram and blogging into logistical practice before your very eyes. I can’t tell you how much I’ve been blessed by watching other mamas and homemakers share their ideas on youtube, and I’m hoping to be an encouragement as I bring my unique style of sharing Biblical encouragements and practical logistics for the homemaker and mama.

I would dearly love to have you subscribe and follow along! I will give this little caveat. I’m still learning how to make youtube a part of my already full life as a homeschooling mom to eight. For now, I am painfully slow at getting videos up, though I’m hoping to improve by creating a workflow that fits well with our slower paced winter schedule.

Starting something new can be hard, because you usually have to be bad at something before you can be good at it. So for now, I have two videos posted and hope to share more soon! I pray they will be a blessing and encouragement to other Christian homemakers.

Here’s my very first youtube video EVER! It goes all the way back to summer, but it is packed full of encouragement for the Christian homemaker and mother as well as a look into a typical summer day in our home with eight children.
